Rates and Insurance
Individual Counseling Pricing:

120 Minute Initial Psychosocial Evaluation - $320

60 Minute Individual Session - $ 160

Insurance
A Safe Space Counseling Center accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) commercial Insurance at this time. I also accept Private Pay for sessions. I will offer a receipt if you would like to attempt to be reimbursed through your insurance for Out of Network Provider services for any insurance other than Aetna. However, I will not do anything other than provide you with a receipt. It will be up to you to work with your insurance provider to attempt to be reimbursed.
Payment
I accept all major credit cards. Payment will be made through your SimplePractice Portal, which is the platform I use for my health care records. It will require you to provide a credit card that you will put into the system. At the end of each session, payment will be taken from the card you have on file. This system is Hippa Compliant and keeps all of your information confidential. On my end, the only thing I see is the card type, and the last four digits of the card. You will be able to change forms of payments as needed.

Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours before the session. Otherwise you will be charged the full out of pocket rate of the session.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” or GFE explaining how much your health care will cost effective January 1, 2022 in accordance with the “No Surprises” legislation.
Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have certain types of health care coverage or who are not using certain types of health care coverage an estimate of their bill before those services are provided.
You have the right to receive a GFE for the total expected cost of mental healthcare items or services upon request or when scheduling such items or services.
• If you schedule at least 3 business days in advance, make sure your provider or facility provides a GFE in writing no later than one business day after the date of scheduling.
• If you schedule at least 10 business days before the appointment date, make sure your provider or facility provides a GFE no later than 3 business days after scheduling.
• You can also ask A Safe Space Counseling Center for a GFE before or without scheduling. Make sure you get a GFE in writing within three business days after your request. If you do not schedule, a new GFE must be provided with above timelines.
• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more for any service indicated in the GFE, you can dispute the bill.
• Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate and the bill.
Counseling is a bit different in that we can’t necessarily provide an estimate of how long treatment takes to fully address a relationship, emotional, behavioral, and other concerns. There are too many possibilities, some which may only emerge during counseling, to quantify what each couple, family, or individual needs over time.
